You can develop lifelong resiliency and stress-management skills. We are here to support you.

Some skills will last you a lifetime. Like building your resiliency, adding coping skills, developing healthy lifestyle behaviors and managing stress, anxiety and depression.

That’s why Ohio State offers tools and resources to support you so that you can thrive when you’re a student and after you graduate. These evidence-based workshops, trainings and screenings are presented by the experts: Our Ohio State Chief Wellness Officer and her team, College of Nursing faculty, and staff members in our Office of Student Life have developed and tailored these programs specifically for Buckeyes like you.

Telehealth Wellness Hub

For undergraduate or graduate/professional students

This hub will guide students on all of Ohio State’s campuses across the state through an interactive, comprehensive total health and well-being assessment. For successfully completing the 30-minute assessment, you will receive a comprehensive list of wellness resources available to Ohio State students and suggestions for additional CARES activities, and you will be entered into our raffle.*

Health and Wellness Coaching

For undergraduate or graduate/professional students

Receive personalized health and wellness coaching from one of our trained College of Nursing providers. Students who complete at least four coaching sessions in Autumn Semester through our Telehealth Wellness Hub will receive five entries into the raffle.

Mental Health First Aid Virtual Training

For undergraduate or graduate/professional students

Mental Health First Aid is a course that teaches you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis. This program is offered as a virtual 5-hour course with about 2 hours of pre-work to complete ahead of your training session. Students who complete the program will receive five entries into the raffle.

MINDSTRONG™

For undergraduate or graduate/professional students

If you need to build coping skills and improve your resiliency to help you deal with stress, anxiety or depressed mood, MINDSTRONG™ is for you. Nearly 20 different research studies show that this evidence-based, cognitive-behavioral skills-building program can help reduce stress, anxiety and depression while improving healthy lifestyle behaviors.

This program consists of seven 45-minute sessions. Students who complete all seven sessions will receive five entries into the raffle.*

Health Athlete

For graduate/professional students

Refocus and re-energize yourself through the Health Athlete program, developed in partnership with Johnson & Johnson’s Human Performance Institute. Health Athlete helps you manage your energy and guide mental, emotional, physical and spiritual development. Learn how you can become more engaged, more productive and more optimistic through these workshops. 

The program consists of seven one-hour online sessions. Students who complete all seven sessions will receive five entries into the raffle.*

These offerings are supported by student mental health grant funding from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act. Raffle prizes are supported by the Office of the Chief Wellness Officer.


Raffle Information

As you complete activities through the CARES Wellness Hub, you will earn entries into our raffle. The more you do to improve your well-being, the more entries you get and the better your chances to win!

No purchase necessary to participate in the event or the event raffles. All raffles are conducted through random drawing. Full terms and conditions listed below.**

*Raffle ticket entry is only available for new participants; those who have previously completed this activity are not eligible for raffle ticket entry.

**Terms and Conditions: $10,000 total prize amount. No purchase or payment necessary to win prizes. Prize winners are selected during a single raffle once per semester after all CARES activities have ceased on or after 8/9/21 (SU21: 5/10/21-8/7/21), 12/20/21 (AU21: 8/23/21-12/18/21), 5/9/22 (SP22: 1/10/22-5/6/22), and 7/1/22 (SU22: 5/16/22-6/30/22). Prizes are awarded within 30 days of determination. Participants are eligible to only receive one prize and will not be permitted to receive other raffle incentives offered via activities through the CARES Wellness Hub if selected as a winner between August 2021 and July 2022. Winners will be notified and awarded their incentive within one month of the drawing date if they are selected. All raffle winners will receive their incentive online via email. If applicable prize winners do not claim their prize within one week of notification, another winner will be drawn at random. Must be 18 or older. Void where prohibited.
