Last winter, we organized a team from our department to compete in the 2018 Winter Faculty & Staff Ultimate Dodgeball Tournament.

Describe another successful activity that your team planned around the nine dimensions of wellness.
One of the benefits we have as a Buckeye Wellness Innovator is scheduling chair massages for the department. This is very popular people!

If your team has kept track of participation rates for your activities, what is your approximate average attendance?
We were able to recruit six individuals from our department to compete in the dodgeball tournament.

How does your team communicate wellness events and resources to your colleagues?
We primarily use email to disseminate communication to our department

Describe how a manager or supervisor in your unit/department/building/college has shown support for your Buckeye Wellness Innovator team.

For every event, we reach out to our department chair to participate. Even though he is unable to attend some of the events, he fully supports our efforts and appreciates the opportunities.

What has your lead administrator/dean/vice president/department chair specifically done to show support for your Buckeye Wellness Innovator team?
For the dodgeball tournament in December, our department chair was scheduled to participate on our team. When he has time to attend, he likes to come to the chair massages and hear about our monthly updates.

Please share how your team has overcome barriers to engaging your colleagues and/or students in your wellness efforts.
Our largest barrier for our department is being intrinsically motivated to participate. However, our team of Buckeye Wellness Innovators have found to overcome this barrier by leading by example. Once others see our willingness to participate, they are interested in attending.

If you could accomplish anything as a Buckeye Wellness Innovator team, what would your dream be?

I'd like for us to go off campus and do something physical and have a healthy meal together.
