On July 18, faculty and staff from around the university and medical center competed in the 2024 Buckeye Wellness Games on the South Oval. Each team embarked on a series of challenges based on the ten dimensions of wellness.
2024 Buckeye Wellness Games
With a winning time of 18 minutes, the Wellness Warriors from Athletics were crowned our champions!
1st place was Wellness Warriors - Athletics, with a time of 18 minutes; 2nd place was MIILand , with a time of 19 minutes and 10 seconds; and 3rd place was Barbie Land, with a time of 19 minutes and 16 seconds.

Learn about each event
Members from the team must correctly sort items into their respective trash, recycle or compost containers.
Each team member will take turns throwing a foam javelin toward a target consisting of Olympic rings.
Each team member will act out a Big Ten mascot participating in an Olympic sport while members of the team must guess the scene.
Members of the team must volley back and forth 10 times without the ball touching the ground.
As a team, work together to create four shapes given to you with your bodies.
Working together as a team, match at least six of the OSU athletes to their Olympic sport to move on.
One Team member will carry a plastic ball in a cone (representative of a torch) for 10 yards without dropping the ball. They must “pass the torch” by passing the all using the cone to their team member. Repeat until each team member has traveled 10 yards.
Team members will select dollar-value questions to answer. Once enough questions are successfully answered, the team will advance to the next question, with a cumulative value of $1,000.
